Corien Hoepman

Corien Hoepman studied with Reinier Hogerheijde at the conservatories in Groningen and Arnhem. In 2002, she obtained her diploma for the 2nd phase. During and after her studies she participated in various masterclasses and international summer academies, such as those of Salzburg, Lübeck and Siena. There she played chamber music with other instrumentalists and studied with a.o. Reinier Hogerheijde, Antony Pay, and Karl-Heinz Steffens. In Salzburg, she got the chance to play Debussy's Rhapsodie in the famous Schloss Mirabell. As a listener she learned a lot from the chamber music lessons given in Siena by Günter Pichler and Valentin Erben of the Alban Berg Quartet. Corien currently plays in various orchestras and chamber music ensembles, including the Sonsbeek Trio and the Rosinante Ensemble. Since 2013 she's a member of the Kurios Clarinet Quartet. She also has a private practice in Arnhem and Apeldoorn: de Gelderse Klarinetstudio.
